The programme MSc Sport Psychology and Body Psychology is a holistic, scientifically and evidence-based, well-founded master’s programme for experienced professionals. For those interested who have extensive professional experience and leadership responsibility and want to provide their practical activities with a scientific basis.
The learning concept of MSc Sport Psychology and Body Psychology is characterised by a high level of practice-relevant content as well as innovative teaching and learning methods. Its design as a pure distance learning course means that it is optimally focused on the needs of the target group.
The combination of guided self-study, individual student support and e-learning units offers students the possibility of learning independent of time and place, oriented to their own professional requirements and needs.
The content and structure of the master’s programme support an evidence-based understanding of Sport Psychology and Body Psychology. Starting from the introduction to the fundamentals about the programme, Sport Psychology and Body Psychology contents and competences are systematically imparted, whereby successive modules aim to analytically tie in with the knowledge acquired in the previous module so that they can be integrated for the understanding of the following module.
The programme is taught 100% online and can be finished in 12 months (Full-time) or 24 months (Part-time). For interested persons without a first degree studying a master is possible.
Our students are enrolled at our partner university Universtiy of East London who also award the academic degree.
The master’s programme is designed for people who are or wish to become active in the consultation, treatment or therapy of people in the field of movement and/or relaxation or who wish to expand their knowledge in this area.
The content is based on the following focal points:
- Research methods, scientific work, introduction to Sport and Body Psychology
- Physiological and Psychological foundations of Sport and Body Psychology
- Psychological training techniques in Sport and Body Psychology
- Diagnosis and therapy in Sport and Body Psychology
- Master´s thesis
First degree (at least bachelor with 180 ECTS) from a recognised German or comparable other foreign university
or
the equivalent of the first university degree is considered to be at least six years‘ relevant professional experience. In addition, an entrance examination (term paper) on a given topic must be submitted.
